'Drive Light or Drive Night'
‘Drive Night’
In this nocturnal still life, a layered theater unfolds. The curtains, like backdrops, give way to the central figure: a glowing flower arrangement, radiant in the dark, almost sacred in its simplicity.
Each flag represents a country, a route, an era when transporters crossed Europe, driven by the dream of a united continent—now replaced by the mechanical rhythm of a workweek that leaves little room for ideals.
The optimism of the pre-2000s has slowly faded, and over the years, faith in Europe as a united whole has gradually dissolved. It is a delicate balance between the technological and the spiritual, an attempt to find the domestic in the cold mechanics of a workweek that never stops, where little idealism is left to be found.
