A theater decor Philips created for the play Medea by De Queeste (1997-2015) which mainly consisted of a large IKEA billboard depicting a living room scene with two kids, Medea’s children.The decor is optically extended by the fictional living room in the back, behind Medea’s brightly lit stage. During the play, the Amy Winehouse-like Medea, played by Naomi Velissariou, constantly wants to distance herself from this decor. However, near the end she starts to address the children. The decor symbolically alludes to the family situation and the suicide at the end of theGreek tragedy.
