After graduating, Philips bought a second-hand amusement park from carnival workers in order to turn it into a mobile studio. A few years later, he also converted a second-hand moving truck into a residential unit. Inside the truck, he built an elevating system that could lift the cargo segment, thus creating an additional floor and doubling the available space. This system is mainly used by carnival workers in foldable attractions such as haunted houses for example. The project, which brings together various realizations of the past ten years, can be regarded as the result of the accumulated knowledge gained in the fields of theatre, visual arts, carnivals and architecture.
